Report: Key noticeable change was made in transfer window under INEOS

Manchester United had reportedly seen huge improvements in the way the club conducted their transfer business in the summer.

This summer was Manchester United’s first transfer window with the new Ineos structure set in place.

Under Sir Jim Ratcliffe and David Brailsford, the new task force to undertake footballing matters at Old Trafford is Omar Berrada, Jason Wilcox and sporting director Dan Ashworth.

Five new players arrived at Old Trafford Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, Nossair Mazroaui, and Manuel Ugarte.

There were also several deals completed that saw Red Devil stars depart including Jadon Sancho’s deadline-day move to Chelsea.

It was understood that the new football structure wanted to make a big start to the overhaul at Old Trafford, with Ashworth said to be happy with the club’s business in the summer.

Rob Dawson reveals details behind Manchester United transfer window success

ESPN’s Rob Dawson has revealed how the new United structure had been impressing at Old Tarfford with the belief that improvements were being made.

On ESPN, Dawson states: “The point at which Manchester United knew they were making progress in the summer transfer window — the club’s first under the new leadership team put together by Sir Jim Ratcliffe — came in mid-July. With Matt Hargreaves, director of football negotiations, locked in complicated talks with Marseille over a deal for Mason Greenwood, United were also pushing ahead with an agreement to bring in Leny Yoro, the highly rated young French defender, from Lille.

“Instead of relying on a small group of key personnel, sources have told ESPN that a larger team of senior figures, which also includes Steve Brown, director of scouting, and Christopher Vivell, director of recruitment, meant United were able to move more quickly in the market”
