Manchester United learn date and time for Community Sheild

After winning the FA Cup against Man City in May, Manchester United will return to Wembley Stadium on Saturday, August 10 to face their fierce rivals once again.

The match has been confirmed to kick-off at 3pm and it will be televised live in the UK via ITV 1, ITVX, STV and STV Player.

In what will be a teaser before the Premier League season kicks off, United fans travel to Wembley early on in the campaign.

There have been plenty of trips to Wembley since Erik ten Hag became manager, and long may that continue.

This will be United’s third Community Shield meeting with City, having won the previous two meetings, in 1956 and 2011.

Ticketing information will be released in due course.

United won the Community Shield eight years ago after beating Leicester City.
