Manchester United among PL quartet monitoring Real Madrid star

Manchester United are one of four Premier League clubs believed to be closely monitoring the situation of Real Madrid forward Rodrygo.

There is growing belief that top clubs in the Premier League have set their sights on the Brazilian, who could face an uncertain future if Madrid sign Kylian Mbappe and Endrick in the summer.

Rodrygo already faces competition from the likes of Brahim Diaz and Joselu, and Arda Guler on top of that, so Madrid are expected to have plenty of top-class options in attack next season.

According to Sport, Madrid currently views Rodrygo as non-transferable. That has not stopped United, City, Liverpool and Arsenal from inquiring about his situation at the Bernabeu.

Rodrygo is under contract until 2028 and his release clause is €1 billion. That means the only way he comes to the Premier League this summer is if Madrid decides to sell him.

The report in question claims that a transfer fee of €100m would be required to prise Rodrygo away from Madrid. That seems like a lot to spend on a player with 8 goals in 29 La Liga appearances this season.

That said, Rodrygo has also managed five assists in the league for Madrid.
