‘World class’ – Bruno Fernandes hails Borussia Dortmund veteran after Champions League win

Bruno Fernandes showcased his admiration for Marco Reus following Borussia Dortmund’s win over PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League.

The Dortmund veteran, 34, fired his side into the Champions League quarter-finals on Wednesday night with a brilliant finish in stoppage time to score his seventh goal of the season.

Manchester United loanee Jadon Sancho opened the scoring for the Dutch side before Reus got them across the line and into the next round.

This led to several posts on social media from Dortmund, including one post on Instagram that sparked a reaction from United captain Bruno Fernandes. Dortmund fans can also be seen in the comments section pleading with Reus to sign a new contract since his current deal expires in a few months.

Fernandes reposted Dortmund’s post to his Instagram story, along with the caption: “World class [hands hailing emoji].”

Dortmund take on Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga on Sunday, but United loanee Sancho is considered a doubt for the match. The winger has scored in his last two matches despite a slow start on his return to Germany.
