Manchester United’s Sporting Director John Murtough was spotted meeting with his Barcelona counterpart Deco today, as well as director of negotiations Matt Hargreaves.
As expected, there are no leaks from the senior figures’ meeting, although Spanish outlet Sport suggests that Mason Greenwood may have been one topic of conversation after reports of the reigning La Liga champions targeting the United outcast.
In turn, we’re all well aware that Erik ten Hag holds a longstanding interest in his former protegee Frenkie de Jong, having failed to persuade the midfielder to make the switch to Old Trafford in his maiden transfer window as manager.
