Manchester United’s new London offices will take inspiration from Old Trafford

Manchester United are set to open new offices in London.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe will take inspiration from Old Trafford when the club’s co-owner considers the interior design of the premises with commercial chiefs set to leave their previous offices in Mayfair before moving to Kensington next month.

According to the Daily Mail, the new offices will have a top four facility featuring a ‘tunnel’, which staff and clients walk through to get to meeting rooms.

The corridor is understood to be made up of wraparound LED screens, with the intention of recreating the feeling of walking through the players’ tunnel at Old Trafford.

Now I can picture Sir Jim Ratcliffe playing ‘This Is The One’ as Sir Dave Brailsford dances like Bez from the Happy Mondays in the background.

Visitors will be invited to make use of two bars in the building, one inside and one on the roof.

This will raise questions about whether United need offices in London, but I guess it makes life easier for our commerical team when dealing with sponsors.
