Manchester United and Arsenal credited with interest in Everton star

Manchester United fans will hope to see the squad improve in the summer. That means new defenders, midfielders as well as attackers. There’s a lot of players that will need to be sold in order for that to happen.

There is a good chance United will be in the market to replace Casemiro because Sofyan Amrabat has not done enough to warrant a permanent deal at Old Trafford. The Morocco international is expected to return to Fiorentina when his season-long loan expires.

That means we’ll be likely looking elsewhere for a combative midfielder to partner Kobbie Mainoo.

According to a report by Spanish publication Sport, Manchester United have shown interest in signing Amadou Onana.

The 22-year-old defensive midfielder has often been linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent months. It is also suggested that Arsenal are keen on the Senegal international, who joined Everton from Lille in 2022.

Onana is currently valued at €50 million, as per Transfermarkt.

Barcelona have also been credited with interest in Onana’s signature and they believe that Everton are open to the possibility of selling him.

Onana’s valuation in the summer transfer market may depend on whether Everton can keep their Premier League status for another season.
