Manchester United are set to welcome back Sofyan Amrabat and Victor Lindelof when the team travels to West Ham on Sunday.

It has been a while since we’ve seen both players in action for United, although neither are expected to start against the Hammers this weekend.

Amrabat has not played for the Reds since the goalless draw with Liverpool on December 17. The midfielder has been away with Morocco at the Africa Cup of Nations, but they were eliminated from the competition earlier this week.

Meanwhile, Sweden captain Victor Lindelof has been sidelined since December 6 after undergoing groin surgery.

United are still without long-term absentees Tyrell Malacia and Mason Mount, while Sunday’s game is likely to come too soon for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

“Sofyan will return to training on Saturday,” Erik ten Hag told reporters, as quoted by the Manchester Evening News. “Ty and Mason Mount I don’t expect them back, but I think Victor Lindelof is almost back. Yesterday [Wednesday] he trained with the team and we have to see how far he is.

“Aaron Wan-Bissaka is also on his way back. I don’t think he will make it for Sunday but I’m not sure at this moment. There is a problem in his leg. It’s personal, you know that.”

With more players returning from injury, Ten Hag is going to have better options to select from and we need to be winning more matches between now and the end of the season. Especially if we aim to be in the Champions League next season.

Mount, Malacia, Martial and Wan-Bissaka the only players not available going into Sunday’s game.
