Facundo Pellistri completes loan switch to Granada

Manchester United winger Facundo Pellistri has joined La Liga outfit Granada on loan until the end of the season.

According to The Athletic, Granada will not hold an option to make the loan move permanent for Pellistri.

Furthermore, the Spanish club will cover the 22-year-old’s wages in full as well as paying United a fee for the deal.

Pellistri has made 14 appearances for United this season and is already an established Uruguay international, however, he only got one Premier League start against Crystal Palace in September.

The players agent suggested in a recent interview that the winger may not return to United if Erik ten Hag remains manager.

This will be Pellistri’s third loan in Spain after previously having temporary spells at Alves. He made 35 appearances for the club across the 2020-21 and 2021-22 campaigns.

Granada will hope the addition of Pellistri will help them climb out of the La Liga relegation zone. They currently sit 19th in the Spanish top flight, with just 11 wins and 11 points from 22 matches.

We would like to wish Pellistri the best of luck for the rest of the season. Hopefully he gets plenty of first team experience.
