Facundo Pellistri loan deal back on after concerns last week

Facundo Pellistri is looking to complete a loan move to Granada this week ahead of the transfer deadline.

According to the Daily Mail, there were concerns over the move collapsing because Granada were only offering a make a small contribution to the player’s salary.

There were also concerns over the future of 19-year-old academy star Omari Forson since he has yet to commit his future to the club. Some might say this would leave United light in options on the right wing, but we’ve got Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Amad Diallo who can all play there.

However, Pellistri has a desire to play regular first team football for the remainder of the season.

It is unlikely that he will get the chance to do that at United, so for his sake we’ve always hoped the Uruguay international would secure a move away in January.

A report from the Manchester Evening News claims the 22-year-old’s move to Granada is back on after concerns over stalled negotiations. The deal is expected to be concluded before Thursday’s deadline.

Pellistri has only received 366 minutes of first team football and he needs to be playing regularly in order to develop as a player. Granada get a fine prospect and it will be a chance for the young winger to prove himself.

Granada are currently bottom in La Liga.
