Man United on alert as PSG may agree to let 22-year old star leave the club

The future of striker Goncalo Ramos at Paris Saint-Germain is reportedly being re-evaluated.

The Portugal international is under scrutiny at Parc des Princes after securing a permanent transfer from Benfica to the French league club.

With new financial backing of Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the club’s need to sign a new striker, Man United are closely monitoring the situation.

The 22-year-old striker first came to PSG on loan in the summer of last year. The deal had a compulsory purchase clause and was intended to relieve Financial Fair Play demands.

Ramos was a target for United, but PSG sealed the deal in November, paying £69 million to get him.

The player’s performance at PSG has been questioned despite the high expectations.

According to French outlet L’Equipe (via The Mirror), PSG manager Luis Enrique is not entirely confident about the Portuguese star. The French champions may think about moving Ramos after he only scored four goals in 19 games this season.

Man United are backed by British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who is looking to make United’s attack stronger.

The club’s summer signing Rasmus Hojlund has failed to live up to expectations this season. The 20-year old striker has only scored two Premier League goals all season.

Even though his performances in the Champions League have been impressive, his Premier League performance is a cause of big worry to the Red Devils.

United may have a chance to strengthen their team if PSG are willing to negotiate for Ramos.

Erik ten Hag’s team may be in a good position to sign the 22-year-old given the current transfer market.
