Bookmakers have touted Newcastle as the club that Jose Mourinho is most likely to join next.
The former Manchester United manager was sacked by AS Roma on Tuesday morning after two-and-a-half years in charge. The Italian side are currently ninth in the league table and five points adrift of the Champions League spots.
Mourinho is now set to be linked with an array of jobs, but it remains to be seen if he will look to return to management immediately. It will likely depend on what offers come his way.
Sky Bet has placed 3/1 odds on Mourinho replacing Eddie Howe at St James’ Park with Newcastle struggling for form this season.
Meanwhile, a move to the Saudi Pro League is priced at 4/1 and the Portugal national team role at 5/1. A switch to the MLS could be on the cards, too, priced at 6/1.
