Casemiro and Martinez in the squad: confirmed Manchester United line-up vs Tottenham

Manchester United are back in Premier League action this evening as they welcome Tottenham to Old Trafford, with Erik ten Hag looking to get his side back to winning ways in the league.

United most recently defeated Wigan in the FA Cup but their latest outing in the Premier League culminated in a defeat to Nottingham Forest.

Ten Hag will be demanding an improvement from that showing at the City Ground but the Dutchman’s men face a stern test on Sunday evening.

Andre Onana keeps his place for this game as he has agreed to link up with his Cameroon team-mates for this winter’s Africa Cup of Nations campaign later than usual.

Luke Shaw remains on the sidelines after sustaining a minor setback in his return from a long-term problem that has kept him out of the majority of the campaign but there are hugely positive news on the injury front.

Casemiro and Lisandro Martinez, two of the pillars in United’s successful first year under Ten Hag, have both been cleared fit and are on the bench for this game.

In their absence on the pitch, a backline of Diogo Dalot, Raphael Varane, Jonny Evans and Aaron Wan-Bissaka will be protected by the impressive Kobbie Mainoo and Christian Eriksen.

Further up the pitch, United are attacking with the trident of Alejandro Garnacho, Rasmus Hojlund and Marcus Rashford, with Bruno Fernandes hoping to create.

Confirmed Manchester United line-up (4-2-3-1): Onana; Wan-Bissaka, Evans, Varane, Dalot; Mainoo, Eriksen; Rashford, Fernandes, Garnacho; Hojlund
