Mason Greenwood wins La Liga award after impressive Getafe displays

Mason Greenwood has been awarded for his recent run of form for loan club Getafe.

The Manchester United forward will be aiming to end the season on a high with more impressive displays over the next six months. Then there will be more questions about his future as he returns to Old Trafford.

Greenwood has scored three goals and registered four assists in 12 La Liga starts this season, which is understood to have attracted interest from a number of clubs in his signature.

Getafe have made it clear that they will try to sign Greenwood on a permanent deal at the end of the season, in a deal that would help United in terms of Financial Fair Play as he’s a homegrown player, who came through the academy.

December was a standout month for the young forward – which is why he has won an award for Getafe.

Mason Greenwood named Getafe Player of the Month

After making four appearances in December, including one against Sevilla in which he scored one goal and assisted another, Greenwood has been named Player of the Month for Getafe.

It was rewarded by the Jugador Cinco Estrellas, which is voted for by La Liga fans.

Greenwood wins the Getafe Player of the Month award for the first time and he will be aiming for more individual awards before the end of the season.
