Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund are still hashing out the finer details of Jadon Sancho’s prospective loan deal, with the transfer expected to materialise in the coming days.

As per the Daily Mail, the Bundesliga outfit will cover the majority of Sancho’s wages but United are still expected to contribute up to £100,000 per week.

This is because the 23-year-old currently takes home a whopping £290,000 a week, which is unknown territory for Dortmund, where their current highest earner is Niklas Sule on around £160,000.

Sancho nearing Dortmund return

In truth, the proposed deal makes more sense than United paying Sancho to train and eat alone while being completely exiled from all first-team action and facilities. There is no buy clause included in terms though, so questions will be raised over his Old Trafford future closer to the summer.

Sancho’s best and most prolific form came while wearing the famous black and yellow of Dortmund and he’ll be hoping to revive his currently stagnant career when returning to the Signal Iduna Park.
