Atalanta set asking price for Manchester United target Giorgio Scalvini

Atalanta has developed some of the brightest players in Italian football in recent years. Manchester United currently have two young forwards that signed from the Serie A club and we’re now being linked with more.

Rasmus Hojlund joined United in the summer and we’ve got Amad Diallo trying to break into the team, too.

Now it seems like United’s attention is turning to defensive stalwart Giorgio Scalvini.

According to Alfredo Pedulla, Atalanta have made it known how much will be required to sign Scalvini away from the club in January.

The Italians are seeking €60 million for Scalvini’s signature and they’re keen to keep hold of the player since he is under contract until 2028.

United are understood to be keen admirers of the 20-year-old Italian, but first they will need to fight off competition from other interested clubs.

Earlier this week, Goal Brasil ran a report suggesting United were readying a bid for Atalanta’s Brazilian midfielder Ederson. The Reds may be preparing to raid Atalanta.
