Manchester United duo nominated for 2023 FIFA FIFPro Women’s World XI

Manchester United Women’s duo Mary Earps and Ella Toone are among the candidates that have been nominated for a spot in the 2023 FIFA FIFPRO Women’s World XI.

The two Lioness stars are among the 23 players that have been voted for by over 6,000 female footballers.

Former Manchester United striker Alessia Russo, who joined Arsenal in the summer, is also in contention for a place in the women’s World XI.

The 2023 award will be based on performances from August 1, 2022 to August 20, 2023.

Winners will be announced on Monday, January 15 at The Best FIFA Football Awards in London.

Meanwhile, Manchester United had no players nominated for the men’s award, even though former striker Cristiano Ronaldo made the cut despite playing his football against washed up stars and postmen in Saudi Arabia these days.

We would like to wish Earps and Toone the very best with getting into the World XI. It’s an achievement alone to be nominated for a place in the team.
