Manchester United approach La Liga giants over potential Jadon Sancho swap

Manchester United are reportedly looking at swap deals in their attempt to find a new club for Jadon Sancho, who has been banished from first-team activities for three months.

Sancho only had to apologise to Ten Hag after his public outburst and he’s refused to do that up until this point. That is why there is a feeling he has reached a point of no return with the manager.

This is not something United will want to let bubble on for much longer. Ten Hag is having to deal with enough claims of dressing room unrest and it doesn’t look good having players banished from the squad.

Spanish publication Sport believe United have been in contact with Barcelona to offer the La Liga giants the possibility of swapping Sancho with Brazil international Raphinha, who has failed to light up the Nou Camp since his 2022 transfer from Leeds.

Both clubs are entirely happy with their respective wingers, but they could look to find a quick solution in January and it works well if all parties involved are satisfied with the temporary outcome.

I’m not convinced that Raphinha is the answer but I believe he’d be a better option that Sancho, especially in his current state, for the second half of the season.

The question is whether Raphinha is an upgrade on Antony. Let us know what you think in the comment section below.
