Harry Kane looking forward to UCL tie vs Manchester United, says Tuchel

Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel has warned Manchester United that Harry Kane is ‘looking forward to ‘ their upcoming Champions League clash.

Tuesday will mark United’s final chance to qualify for the last 16 – with the German champions already having secured top spot in Group A.

United have it all to play for as they need to win and rely on FC Copenhagen and Galatasaray ending as a draw in order to quality.

Our job is made harder by the fact Bayern have one of the most lethal centre-forwards in the world, but it’s not like they haven’t got plenty of quality in other departments too.

Tuchel has suggested that Kane is looking forward to returning to England for the gane, even though he only left Tottenham during the summer and it felt like he was trying to leave for years.

According to The Sun, he said: “Yes, for him 100 per cent. He is a winner – he is a champion.

“It’s nice to go back to England and to Old Trafford. Harry will love it I think and is looking forward to it.

“Harry is a top pro and a fantastic guy who has adjusted very well to life in Germany.”

Bayern got into the game seeking a reaction after their first league defeat of the season, losing 5-1 to Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.

Tuchel believes Kane will be able to help Bayern get over their recent hiccup when they take on United.

The former Chelsea manager added: “Life in Munich is a good life. He is fluent in German! Munich is a safe city — a beautiful city.

“We have a lot of nature and a lot of golf courses for Harry when he has some time off. And everybody speaks English, which is good for him, that helps him a lot.”
