Manchester United reach remarkable Premier League milestone

Sunday’s 3-0 win at Everton was one of the best away games of the season, while Andre Onana kept his third consecutive clean sheet.

This also meant that Manchester United became the first team to reach 500 clean sheets in the Premier League.

It was Onana’s fifth clean sheet of the campaign as the summer signing continues to make his mark as a United goalkeeper.

After a slow start to life at Old Trafford, Onana has improved in recent weeks and that is why he features on the Premier League’s graphic – along with Peter Schmeichel, Edwin van der Sar and David de Gea.

The trio named above were responsible for clean sheets for the majority of the past three decades.

Finally, some well-earned positivity. The statistics they were pulling out at the start of the season were far from convincing, but this hits the right note at least.
