Manchester United’s opponents on Wednesday night, Galatasaray, have a couple of injury problems going into the game.
Erik ten Hag has had to deal with a flurry of injuries to his squad this season, with Antony and Mason Mount the latest players to miss games through injury.
Thankfully, Kobbie Mainoo and Luke Shaw returned from their long absenses at the weekend as United beat Everton 3-0 at Goodison Park.
United go into Wednesday night’s game with their future in the Champions League hanging in the balance. After losing the reverse fixture at Old Trafford, another defeat to Galatasaray will see them knocked out of Europe’s prestigious competition.
That defeat was Galatasaray’s only in the Champions League group phase thus far, as per WhoScored.
Galatasaray injury doubts
Former Tottenham defender, Davinson Sanchez, is a doubt after suffering a strain in his upper left rear muscle, as per Turkish publication Sabah.
The Colombian will undergo an MRI as a late test before they know whether Sanchez is available to face United.
Another doubt for Galatasaray means defender Abdulkerim Bardakci could miss the game, too, but like Sanchez he will undergo a test before the game.
