Galatasaray will reportedly discuss the terms of a potential deal for Donny van de Beek when Manchester United visit next week, as per Sporx

The Red Devils are well aware that they have a mountain to climb when they take to Rams Park on November 29; United sit rock bottom of Group A having lost three games, so must take all three points from their clash with Galatasaray.

Prior to the two clubs going head-to-head, they will meet to hash out the prospect of Van de Beek’s exit, with the Turkish club keen for midfield reinforcements when the January window opens.

Van de Beek will not feature in the game as he was not registered in the Reds’ European squad at the beginning of the campaign. Over the summer, it was evident that Erik ten Hag wanted to offload the Dutch international after yet another underwhelming, injury-plagued season, however, a transfer failed to materialise.

Van de Beek is United’s forgotten man

Consequently, the 26-year-old has been almost entirely omitted from any of United’s action so far in 2023/2024;  he has featured for a total of 21 minutes across two outings – one in the Premier League and one in the Carabao Cup.

His contract is set to expire in 2025 and given that United forked out an initial £34.7 million to acquire his signature in 2020, they’ll have to cut their losses when it comes to agreeing a fee for his departure.
