Marcus Rashford trains ahead of Copenhagen clash

The headlines at lunchtime will focus on Marcus Rashford training with the Manchester United squad ahead of their crucial Champions League tie against FC Copenhagen.

Rashford, 26, picked up a knock in training on Friday before United travelled to London where they beat Fulham on Saturday.

It is understood Rashford failed a late fitness test on the morning of the game, but the forward travelled still with his teammates to Craven Cottage to watch a 1-0 win.

Although Rashford has not been in good form, with just one goal to his name this season, it will be bonus to have him back available for selection.

We won’t know for definite if Rashford will be fit enough to feature in Denmark on Wednesday night until later when Erik ten Hag addresses the media for his pre-match press conference.

Meanwhile, Victor Lindelof was also spotted at this morning’s open training session at Carrington. He trained with the main group after missing the trip to Craven Cottage due to illness.

The only notable absentee was youngster Kobbie Mainoo, who was on the bench at the weekend after recovering from a knee injury.
