Manchester United confirm 23-man travelling squad for Copenhagen with injury returnees but notable omissions

Erik ten Hag has named his 23-man travelling squad for Copenhagen, as Manchester United prepare for their fourth Champions League group-stage clash.

The Reds are away from their home comforts in the must-win contest and after the last outing at Old Trafford against Copenhagen, the Danes will be feeling more confident to see out a result on their own turf and in front of their supporters.

For United, bringing the three points back to England is a non-negotiable. Anything less than a victory and the squad can essentially kiss goodbye to their hopes of progressing to the knock-outs.

In terms of those players available to make the trip, Casemiro is, of course, missing out. He sustained a hamstring injury against Newcastle United and will be out for several weeks.

Kobbie Mainoo is also omitted from the list as he continues to be eased back into action by United. He will instead be playing for the Under-19s in their UEFA Youth League fixture so hopefully, we can see him back in the senior setup soon.

On a positive note, Victor Lindelof and Marcus Rashford missed the win over Fulham through illness and injury respectively, but they have been deemed fit enough to travel.
