Manchester Uniterd secured a dramatic late win away at Fulham in the Premier League this afternoon.
Scott McTominay thought he had given United the lead after 8 minutes, until VAR intervened and controversially decided to disallow the goal. The check took four minutes before referee John Brooks decided Harry Maguire was offside, despite not touching the ball.
With time running out, United needed a leader to stand up and make a difference. That was when Bruno Fernandes found the back of the net with a crucial strike after 91 minutes of action.
While all of us are relieved with the result (three points and clean sheet), the performance was poor again. United are not controlling games, creating enough chances or defending as an organised unit.
The Manchester Evening News gave Antony the lowest rating from the game (2/10), with chief football writer Samuel Luckhurst writing: “The best Brazilian winger wore white. Antony was his usual frivolous self, killing attacks and having no impact whatsoever. His removal was cheer.”
Antony was subject to more criticism during the game from TNT commentator Jermaine Jenas. The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder said (via United In Focus): “How he has stayed on the pitch as long as he has I don’t know. Poor.”
In response to the jeers that were heard as Antony came off, Jenas added: “Whatever they’re doing they are well within their rights after what that man has brought to the table today. Clearly struggling.”
Antony continues to struggle
The Brazilian’s complete inability to be able to provide any creativity on the right side. He’s in a situation where he has a place at the club as long as Erik ten Hag remains, but any other manager would make him a bench option or look to cash in.
Everyone can see that Rasmus Hojlund is feeding on scraps in this United side, but anything he gets will come from the left flank. Only rarely from the right and something needs to be done about that.
I still hope Antony can turn it around but he has been very disappointing.

to think united paid 85m for him is just baffling. he is probably worth 20 or something and is not even close to being good enough for the PL, he can barely beat his man.
how ETH thought he is any good (and still does evidently) should be alarming to fans but for some reason gets kind of ignored.
i guess enjoy the win anyhow, there aren’t many tbh.
