Manchester United will aim to get back to winning ways with a victory over Newcastle in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup tonight.
The Reds are on home soil yet again in the Carabao Cup, having seen off Crystal Palace at Old Trafford in the third round, and they’ll be trying to go all the way in the competition again this season.
United won 2-0 against Newcastle at Wembley last season thanks to goals from Casemiro and Marcus Rashford.
It always takes a bit of luck to win a cup competition, but those hopes have been boosted by the fact Man City and Tottenham are both already out of this competition. Liverpool and Arsenal will be the favourites to lift it, but there will likely be some favourable draws in the next rounds.
Without further ado, let’s take a look at the United XI named by Erik ten Hag.
Andre Onana will start between the sticks in front of a defence consisting of Diogo Dalot, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Sergio Reguilon.
In midfield, Casemiro returns from injury and is partnered by Hannibal Mejbri and Mason Mount.
Up front, Anthony Martial will lead the line ahead of Alejandro Garnacho and Antony.
Manchester United XI vs Newcastle: Onana; Dalot, Maguire, Lindelof, Reguilon; Casemiro, Hannibal, Antony, Mount, Garnacho, Martial.
