Manchester United are mourning the sad loss of Sir Bobby Charlton after it was announced over the weekend that the iconic club figure had passed away.
The former United and England player is one of the sport’s greatest representatives and was the all-time top goalscorer for both club and country until Wayne Rooney broke his records in 2017 and 2015 respectively.
Tributes have flooded in since Charlton’s passing and tonight, Copenhagen supporters have shown incredible sportsmanship as they honoured the United icon in their own way at Old Trafford.
United take on the Danish giants in the third round of the Champions League and as seen below, the Copenhagen fans were in full voice, chanting ‘One Bobby Charlton, there’s only one Bobby Charlton’.

It’s a lovely gesture from the travelling fans and it doesn’t end there. According to journalist Tyrone Marshall, the Danes made a special banner for the occasion as well.
Lovely touch from the FC Copenhagen fans, who have a homemade banner reading 'Passion is what separates from the good from the great. Rest in peace Sir Bobby Charlton'. That was very moving #mufc

“Passion is what separates from the good from the great. Rest in peace Sir Bobby Charlton,” the banner read.
United honoured Charlton ahead of kick-off as well and there was another lovely touch in the stands as a wreath was placed on Charlton’s seat.
