Manchester United’s CEO, Richard Arnold, placed a wreath in Sir Bobby Charlton’s seat in the directors’ box ahead of kick-off this evening.

A note was also accompanying the wreath, which reads: “Loved, adored, never forgotten. Thank you, the Manchester United family.”

The Reds are in Champions League action against Copenhagen tonight and will be playing at Old Trafford for the first time since Sir Bobby’s passing.

He was honoured prior to the game against Sheffield United on Saturday evening and will be tonight when the Old Trafford faithful can join together to pay their respects across the evening.

The front of the stadium has been adorned with a tribute to the United and England icon, as well as the Trinity statue, which has been surrounded by flowers, shirts and condolence messages.

Sir Bobby was one of the greatest to ever take to a football pitch and his legacy will live on forever.
