Former Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea was in the stands at Leigh Sports Village as the women’s team took Paris Saint-Germain in a Champions League qualifier.
The Spaniard has been unemployed since leaving United in the summer, despite links to clubs in Saudi Arabia.
De Gea was spotted after returning to Manchester on Monday, with suggestions he was back to sort out the house he lived in before leaving United after 12 years.
On Wednesday night, however, De Gea took the time to show his support to Manchester United women’s team as they drew 1-1 with PSG in the first leg of their Women’s Champions League qualifier.

Marc Skinner’s side are pushing to qualify for the knockout stages of the tournament for the first time in the club’s history.
De Gea showed his support for Skinner’s side via Instagram Stories, writing: “Let’s go!!!”
We all hope the women’s team can get the job done away at PSG in the second leg.
