Manchester United could use European giants’ interest in Jadon Sancho to their advantage with swap deal

Manchester United must be smart when navigating Jadon Sancho’s rumoured exit, with Juventus the latest name to be linked with the exiled star, as per The Sun

Over a month on from when the winger’s public feud with Erik ten Hag kicked off, it looks increasingly likely that Sancho will leave Old Trafford in the January window.

He has already refused to apologise to his manager, despite being instructed to by fellow Englishmen Marcus Rashford, Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire, and remains firm in the stance that he has done nothing wrong.

Should United invite offers for Sancho this winter, there’s no way that any bids will come close to the £73 million they paid for him back in 2021, so they’ll have to cut their losses in that aspect.

However, they may be able to offload the 23-year-old on a swap deal, which could see them benefit more from the situation. For example, United have reported interest in Federico Chiesa, and could use Sancho to try and leverage a deal with the Bianconeri.
