Manchester United has expanded its Fans’ Forum for the 2023/24 season and they’ve announced three new roles for supporters to help represent the fanbase.

These new roles mean Rainbow Devils LGBTQ+ is represented directly for the first time, while there will be the introduction of specific voices for our U21 supporters as well as Official Members.

This, in theory, makes the fans’ forum more representative than ever before – but will the Glazers ever really listen? We all know the answer to that and I’m not pointing it out to take away from the good work FAB representatives can do for United fans.

The new Fans’ Forum members include:

  • Family Stand (Dave Field)
  • Local Resident (Carly Lyes)
  • Official Member (Bolaji Alabi)
  • Rainbow Devils (Eric Najib)
  • Season Ticket Holder (Dips Jandu)
  • Under-21 (Zeeshan Qumer)

The forum meets four times each season to discuss a range a issues that face United fans. It acts as a platform for fans and club staff to get together and, hopefully, tackle problems that affect likeminded Reds.

Head of Fan Engagement, Rick McGagh said (via ManUtd.com): “The Fans’ Forum is a central part of our approach to fan engagement and we have made good progress over a number of years, working collaboratively with them to inform our decision-making and to provide fan insight.

“We are delighted to welcome Carly, Dips, Dave, Bolaji, Naj and Zeeshan to the Forum. They were all standout candidates who have a clear passion for improving the experience of their fellow fans, and the local community, and I look forward to working with them.”

The next FAB meeting will be an interesting one, especially with the likelihood of questions about how so many Galatasaray fans were in the home section on Tuesday night. United will probably blame the fans but we all know who is really at fault.
