Manchester United line-up vs Galatasaray: Hannibal and Mount start

Manchester United are back in Champions League action at Old Trafford with a win needed against Galatasaray.

After losing 1-0 to Crystal Palace, this feels like a daunting task tonight but not if the players perform like we know they can. The only way we can get back on track is by winning football matches.

Erik ten Hag’s side would be naive to underestimate the Turkish giants. They’ve got a number of dangerous players in attack and our defence is makeshift at best.

It doesn’t help that we lost our first game in the Champions League this season.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at the line-up Ten Hag has named to face Galatasaray at home in the Champions League.

There’s no surprises between the sticks as Andre Onana starts.

The defence is made up of Diogo Dalot, Raphael Varane, Victor Lindelof and Sofyan Amrabat. It is worth noting that Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk said prior to the game that he was looking to target whoever Ten Hag plays at left-back.

In midfield, Casemiro will have plenty of support with Hannibal Mejbri returning to the line-up. Bruno Fernandes will play further forward.

In attack, we could see Mason Mount play on the right – perhaps interchanging with Fernandes – but they will both bit tasked with creating chances for Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hojlund.

Manchester United XI vs Galatasaray: Onana; Dalot, Varane, Lindelof, Amrabat; Casemiro, Hannibal; Mount, Fernandes, Rashford; Hojlund.
