Manchester United learn date and kick-off time for Carabao Cup clash vs Newcastle

The date and kick-off time for Manchester United’s fourth-round Carabao Cup tie against Newcastle United has been confirmed.

Erik ten Hag’s side booked their spot in the round through a dominant 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace, while the Magpies knocked out one of the major favourites of the competition, Manchester City, with a tightly-contested 1-0 win at St. James’ Park.

United and Newcastle’s fixture is a repeat of last season’s final, which saw the Red Devils lift the trophy – ending a six-year silverware drought – at Wembley after cruising to a 2-0 scoreline.

The next round of the cup kicks off on the week commencing October 30, with the Old Trafford fixture penned in for Wednesday, November 1. Kick-off is at 8.15pm.

It marks a 12th consecutive home cup tie for the Reds, and it will be shown live on Sky Sports.

The week will be a pivotal one in the club’s season, as prior to the aforementioned game, United have the Manchester derby to look forward to on Sunday, October 29.
