Manchester United Foundation have issued a rallying call for matchgoing fans to help contribute to their winter coat appeal.
The Foundation, as always, are doing their best to ensure that young people around Manchester have access to warm clothing across the winter, and the Old Trafford faithful have been asked to do their bit.
United’s organisation is investing £100,000 in buying hats, gloves and scarves for their participants, as per ManUtd.com.
Those attending the upcoming Premier League home fixture against Brentford on Saturday, October 7 (kick-off is at 3pm) can drop off clean adult and children’s coats upon their arrival – or following the match – at Old Trafford to help the cause.
Items will then be given to people accessing the Foundation’s community and their education programmes, as well as shared out by local poverty charities in Greater Manchester.
The drop-off points
The Bees encounter is the only chance that supporters will have to donate.
“Coats can be donated from three hours before kick-off at signposted donation bins next to the five bag drop locations on-site at Old Trafford. Donations will also be accepted one hour after full-time.”
