Roy Hodgson has said he faces a similar personnel issue when his side travel to face Manchester United again on Saturday.

Crystal Palace sustained a 3-0 defeat to the Red Devils last night, which saw them knocked out of the Carabao Cup in the third round.

The experienced manager will now be going back to the drawing board in terms of his game plan after the Eagles were played off the park by United across the tie.

Hodgson’s squad issues

He said following the match last night: “We don’t have a lot of changes we can possibly make. We are facing a similar scenario, potentially, that we faced tonight.

“We don’t have a number of people available that can make such a vast difference to our own team.”

Erik ten Hag is having to navigate several injury woes himself at Carrington, with the likes of Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martinez and Sergio Reguilon all currently sidelined.

However, he’ll likely be rubbing his hands at the thoight of Palace fielding a similar starting line-up.
