Manchester United have drawn Newcastle United in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup – a repeat of last season’s final that saw the Red Devils reign victorious.

The tie will take place at Old Trafford in the week commencing October 30.

United overturned Crystal Palace 3-0 on Tuesday evening to book their spot, while the Magpies knocked out Manchester City at St. James’ Park this evening after their 1-0 win.

Erik ten Hag’s side are the current holders of the trophy after their 2-0 triumph at Wembley in February – something that Newcastle will undoubtedly be using as extra motivation in a bid to avenge the defeat.

It also marks a 12th consecutive home draw for United, setting a new streak after finally surpassing Shrewsbury Town on 11. It’s something that the team and manager can use to their advantage though, as the stadium will always be packed regardless of the opponent.
