Manchester United handed major fitness boost ahead of Bayern trip as four players return to training

Manchester United have been granted some major fitness boosts ahead of tomorrow’s Champions League group-stage opener against Bayern Munich.

As per ManUtd.com, Mason Mount and Raphel Varane returned to team training on Tuesday morning following their spells on the sidelines.

Mount’s last outing came against Tottenham Hotspur in just his second appearance for the Red Devils, whilst Varane sustained his problem during the 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest.

Whether or not the pair will be deemed fit enough to make the flight to Munich this afternoon remains to be seen, but their return is certainly being highly anticipated by supporters and their presence in the squad tomorrow would be a huge bonus.

Two Reds training individually

The club also confirmed that youngster Kobbie Mainoo has partaken in an individual training session, as has deadline-day signing Sofyan Amrabat.

United’s injury woes have only continued as the season has progressed, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka the latest name to be dealt a layoff through a hamstring issue.
