Aaron Wan-Bissaka is set for ‘several weeks’ in the treatment room at Carrington after picking up an injury in the latter stages of Saturday’s 3-1 defeat to Brighton.

This means Wan-Bissaka is ruled out of the upcoming fixtures, which includes a trip to Bayern Munich in the Champions League, as United’s injury problems get worse.

The news has been confirmed by Manchester United’s official website and it comes as another major blow for Ten Hag’s side.

Manchester United fans have no other choice but to get used to seeing Diogo Dalot and Sergio Reguilon in the full-back positions.

The last thing Erik ten Hag needs now is an injury to one of them. Then we’re back to being limited for options at full-back and possibly having to ask Lisandro Martinez or Victor Lindelof to play the role.

Wan-Bissaka was named on the bench for Brighton’s visit to Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon. Ten Hag said that he had been unwell during the week, but he was brought on as a substitute in the 85th minute.

After picking up an injury in the latter stages against the Seagulls, Wan-Bissaka faces several weeks on the sidelines.
