De Gea shows he’s still a Red at heart with reaction to United’s deadline-day signing

David de Gea is still keeping tabs on Manchester United’s action as he continues his search for his next club.

The Spaniard left United in the summer after 12 years between the sticks at Old Trafford following his contract expiry. Erik ten Hag then sought Andre Onana to fill the No.1 void.

De Gea has always been an avid supporter of the women’s team and was spotted in attendance of last season’s Women’s Super League Manchester derby at Leigh Sports Village, as he took the time out of his hectic schedule to support Marc Skinner’s side.

Now, the goalkeeper has reacted to the club’s summer business; United completed the signing of Irene Guerrero from Atletico Madrid this morning on deadline day, with the midfielder fresh off the back of lifting the World Cup with Spain last month.

After announcing the transfer on X, formerly Twitter, De Gea made it clear that he was happy to see a fellow Spanish international representing the Red Devils.
