Manchester United targeting 2024 move for Brighton starlet Evan Ferguson

Manchester United have already begun planning for next summer’s transfer window, with Evan Ferguson believed to be a name on the shortlist.

As per Manchester Evening News, the Red Devils are keeping tabs on Ferguson and hope that he could be swayed away from Brighton and Hove Albion in 2024, despite signing a five-year contract extension in April.

Bolstering the frontline won’t go amiss for United in future windows and could even aid Rasmus Hojlund’s development with some healthy competition. MEN’s report states that Anthony Martial could be released when his contract expires in June 2024 if his substandard form and availability issues continue.

Ferguson will be a sought-after talent

Prior to the international break, Ferguson netted his first-ever Premier League hat-trick against last season’s high-flyers Newcastle United. At just 18 years of age, the Irishman is well on his way to becoming the complete striker; he is agile, boasts sensational striking ability, is composed and presents significant aerial threat being 6ft2in.

It’s exactly those reasons why United must be willing to part with an arm and a leg to secure his services, though, as the Seagulls will ensure they get their money’s worth if they absolutely have to oversee Ferguson’s exit anytime soon.
