Manchester United academy star takes inspiration from Alejandro Garnacho

Manchester United academy star Isak Hansen-Aaroen insists he will be ready for his chance to make a competitive debut for the first team.

The 19-year-old Norwegian aspires the follow in Alejandro Garnacho’s footsteps, but he knows that the to become a regular in the team like the Argentina international, he will need to take his chances if/when they come.

Hansen-Aaroen featured in the 2-0 pre-season win over Leeds during the summer. It was a game in which the Scandinavian showed his vision and guile after he assisted Noam Emeran’s opener with a beautiful through ball.

To make it at United, he will also need a degree of swagger and confidence. The way he speaks suggests he has both in abundance because it’s clear he is hungry for his first real chance in a Red shirt.

“My life now is completely different,” Hansen-Aaroen told VG. “England is almost like home now. I have settled in very well in England.

“Absolutely (I take inspiration from Garnacho). When the chance comes, you have to be ready. It can come suddenly. What I’m doing now is just making sure that when the chance comes, I’ll be ready to take it.”

He added: “There was talk of something different, but I don’t want to say too much about it. There was some stuff, but we didn’t quite agree.

“You will find out in a few months.

“Yes, (a loan is) possible. There is a lot of interest. If we wanted it to be a loan, I know we could go.

“(First-team football is) very important, and a step I will certainly take very soon.”
