Logan Pye leaves Manchester United for Burnley

Manchester United have confirmed that Logan Pye has left the club to join Burnley.

In a statement released by the club, Manchester United announced that Pye is set to move to Burnley to work under Vincent Kompany.

Pye was a member of United’s 2022 FA Youth Cup-winning side, but now he will hope to break into Burnley’s squad after their promotion to the Premier League.

United signed the 19-year-old defender from Sunderland back in 2020, when Joe Hugill made the same move to Old Trafford. Unlike Pye, Hugill is  set to commit his future to staying at Old Trafford.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Pye had been on trial all week at Burnley, so he obviously impressed in order to get offered a deal.

The defender suffered with injuries during his time at United. We all hope he can get a break and compete for a place in Burnley’s team.

We would like to wish Pye all the best in the future.
