Alejandro Garnacho will seemingly be wearing a new shirt number when the transfer deadline closes.
For a while, supporters expected that the Argentinian starlet would be awarded the iconic No.7 – that was until Mason Mount arrived and claimed it.
Garnacho has now been patiently waiting until the end of the summer transfer window so that his new number can be confirmed, as Manchester United have to wait until incomings and outgoings are sealed before submitting their updated list to the Premier League.
Garnacho to wear No.17
Judging by his brother Roberto’s post, the forward will be wearing No.17 from now on, which, strangely enough, was believed to be going to new signing Rasmus Hojlund following Fred’s departure.

Journalist Samuel Luckhurst also commented on the digit change for Garnacho, saying it was ‘deserved’.
