Marc Jurado signs for Espanyol after three years at Manchester United

Marc Jurado has left Manchester United after signing for Espanyol.

The 19-year-old full-back joined the Reds from Barcelona in 2020, but now he returns to familiar surroundings with the hope of gaining first-team experience.

During Jurado’s time at United, he played for the U18s and U21s, making 86 appearances for the academy over three years.

Jurado was also involved in the first-team squad’s pre-season training this summer, which means Erik ten Hag got to watch him up close before deciding whether he was ready or good enough to compete with Aaron Wan-Bissaka at right-back.

That said, Jurado scored in the defeat against Wrexham in San Diego.

The Spaniard’s transfer has now been confirmed by Fabrizio Romano.

We would like to wish Jurado the best of luck at Espanyol.

Espanyol are currently second in the Segunda (Spain’s second division), with 7 points after three matches. Jurado will hope he can help guide them back into La Liga.
