Fulham identify Scott McTominay as potential Joao Palhinha replacement

Fulham are reportedly making late moves to sign Scott McTominay from Manchester United.

According to Sky Sports, Fulham are interested in signing Scott McTominay from United.

It is suggested that Fulham view McTominay as a potential replacement for Joao Palhinha, who looks set to join Bayern Munich ahead of the deadline.

So, with that in mind, Fulham manager Marco Silva needs to identify a replacement.

Fulham are doing due diligence on a number of options, and they will know that United already rejected a £30m offer from West Ham for McTominay earlier this summer.

Moreover, Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth claims Fulham have made initial contact with United over McTominay. He adds that it would take a substantial offer for the Reds to even consider selling the Scotland international.

If selling McTominay means Erik ten Hag has more funds to recruit an upgrade in midfield, like Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina, we need to make it happen.

I wouldn’t be surprised if more clubs showed interest in McTominay before the deadline.

Another name linked United was Ryan Gravenberch, but the Netherlands international looks set to join Liverpool, as per James Pearce.

Let us know in the comments section if you would be happy with Amrabat in and McTominay out before Friday’s 11pm deadline.
