Donny van de Beek was linked with a move to Real Sociedad earlier this summer, but the Dutch midfielder remains at Manchester United.
It goes without saying at this point that Van de Beek is surplus to requirements at United, and none of us think he can suddenly become the answer to our problems in midfield.
That is why the Netherlands international has been available all summer.
According to Foot Mercato reporter Santi Aouna, FC Lorient are trying to sign Van de Beek on loan.

The report claims that although Lorient reached an agreement with United to sign Van de Beek on loan, they still face competition from other clubs to complete a deal.
Van de Beek should be thinking about his career and trying to secure a move to a club that he will get regular starts. That wonât be United.
The only downside of loaning Van de Beek is United will probably find it just as difficult to sell him next year.
Let us know in the comments section if you would keep Van de Beek rather than loan him out to FC Lorient.
