Sofyan Amrabat left out of Fiorentina squad to face Rapid Wien

Sofyan Amrabat has been left out of the Fiorentina squad to face Rapid Wien in their Europa Conference League qualifier tomorrow night.

Fiorentina travel to Rapid Vienna on Thursday for their Europa Conference League play-off first leg without their star midfielder.

Amrabat was an unused substitute in Fiorentina’s Serie A opener on Saturday. This is yet another hint that he will be on the move before deadline day.

The Morocco star has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United this summer, with Fabrizio Romano stating he is waiting on the Reds to make a formal offer.

According to the Daily Mail, Fiorentina have reportedly set Amrabat a deadline to decide whether he wants to leave the club before the transfer window. Is his absence from the squad a hint that he has already made his decision?

That said, it is believed that Liverpool are also interested in a move for Amrabat.

United need to sell players before they can make moves for more players. Donny van de Beek is one midfielder that Erik ten Hag would like to move on, and it remains to be seen if West Ham will make an offer for Scott McTominay.
