It’s going to be an interesting final three weeks of the transfer window at Manchester United, with the club finalising significant outgoings in the days leading up to their Premier League curtain-raiser.

Harry Maguire is on the verge of leaving the club after the club agreed a deal with West Ham for his transfer, with the Old Trafford club confirming the departure of midfielder Fred on Friday.

Other high-profile players could still leave the club, with Eric Bailly, Scott McTominay and Donny van de Beek among the players with uncertain futures.

Some of the younger players could also be leaving the club before the end of the month and now, it is being reported that one of the players that impressed on this summer’s tour of the United States could be off.

That’s according to Dutch outlet RTV Noord, via Sport Witness, who say that Eredivisie side FC Gronigen are keen on signing winger Noam Emeran.

As per the report, Gronigen are already in talks with Manchester United over a deal to bring Emeran to the Netherlands, with the club looking to secure his arrival on loan.

It’s claimed that Gronigen have been unsuccessful in their attempts to sign a winger so far and have thus turned their attention to Emeran, with an agreement with United now being worked on.

Emeran made headlines earlier this summer when he scored the opening goal in United’s 2-0 win over Leeds United in the opening pre-season game.

In addition to opening the scoring of United’s summer campaign, he set up the second goal to kickstart what could be a defining 12 months for the youngster.

In terms of first-team opportunities this season, it is unlikely that Emeran will be given enough game time to develop, with Ten Hag already spoiled with riches in that area.
