Charlie Savage is off to a scintillating start with Reading.
The Carrington graduate left Manchester United in July for the League One club, ending his 15-year stay with the Red Devils.
Savage made his first-team debut in December 2021 during a Champions League clash against Young Boys and completed a loan spell with Forest Green Rovers during his time as a Red.
Game time under Erik ten Hag was highly unlikely given the senior squad’s depth and quality, so it was the best option for all parties for the 20-year-old to take on a new venture elsewhere.
He opted for Reading, and he’s made a lasting impression on fans already with his contribution this evening. Take a look at Savage’s first-ever goal for his new club:
