Daily Mail reporter Chris Wheeler suggests Manchester United are on the verge of selling several players.
The Reds have conducted their business well this summer, signing three of Erik ten Hag primary targets but there are still plans to add more players to the squad before transfer deadline day.
But first United need to start getting rid of players who are no longer part of Ten Hag’s plans.
Chris Wheeler notes that West Ham have agreed a £30 million deal for Harry Maguire, who could be set to become the Hammers next captain.
A number of Utd players could be on their way out of the club:
🔴 West Ham agree £30m fee for Maguire
⚫️ Bailly in talks with Besiktas and Al-Nassr
🔴 Van de Beek edging closer to Real Sociedad move
⚫️ Fred a target for Fulham and clubs in France and Saudi Arabia #mufc— Chris Wheeler (@ChrisWheelerDM) August 9, 2023
The Daily Mail journalist adds that Eric Bailly is in talks with Besiktas and Al-Nassr, while Donny van de Beek is edging closer to Real Sociedad.
There’s also interest in Fred from Fulham and clubs in France and Saudi Arabia.
If United can start skipping out these players, Ten Hag will get the chance to make more signings.
That could see a new defender along with Sofyan Amrabat come through the door.
